High School Dance Team Tryouts

The Lapel Dance Team is made up of Lapel High School students that have school spirit and enjoy dancing. They are led by Amy Gilbert who has decades of dance and cheer experience: hiphop dance studio teacher, show choir choreographer, tumbling instructor, competitive cheer director, Ball State University Dance Team Head coach, and Ball State University Spirit Director. Coach Gilbert is looking for girls with the following skills: high energy, capability of learning choreography and retaining the material, willingness to try new things, team work, responsibility, and dedication. The Dance Team performs at home basketball games and other community events. The Dance Team practices Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00-9:00p. Dance Team members are encouraged to be in other school sports as Coach Gilbert works around most school conflicts. The season begins in August and finishes up in February. Be a part of something different and fun!

Tryouts are the last day of school from 3:30-5:30p in the gym. Tryout Forms are in the office. Contact Amy Gilbert with any questions.  agilbert@flcs.k12.in.us
