Message from Principal

I am so proud of our students and staff as we wrap up the first nine weeks of school! Everyone has worked extremely hard, and it has been exciting to see the growth that has taken place along the way. Moving up a grade level brings new expectations, new routines, and new teachers, and our students have worked hard to navigate those changes and find success.

I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved Fall Break! Take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready for the next nine weeks!

LMS Principal
Kelly Huntzinger

Safety Reminder

Please be mindful of students who are walking through the parking lot during parent pick-up at dismissal. We have several elementary students who have middle school siblings and are in the parking lot during this time. Please stay alert and watch for students walking between vehicles to help maintain everyone's safety.

Additionally, students who ride bikes or scooters and use the sidewalk along the front of the elementary building are asked to wait until the buses have exited the bus parking lot before heading home. There are many students using the sidewalk during dismissal, and we want to ensure everyone can leave safely without bikes and scooters moving through the crowd.

We want to make sure everyone—students, families, and staff—stays safe during these busy times. Thank you for slowing down, staying alert, and helping us keep our students safe!

Picnic Table Auction

Built by Students. Ready for Your Backyard!

Our Build Your Future (BYF) Trades Day picnic tables are officially up for auction!
These tables have a special story:

  • Built by the PHMS Class of 2030 during the 2025 BYF Trades Day.
  • Stained and finished by the PHMS and Lapel Classes of 2031 during the 2026 BYF Trades Day.

Now they're ready for a new home! Each table represents the hard work and hands-on skills of our local students.

Bring home a one-of-a-kind picnic table while supporting a great cause! Auction proceeds will support the Madison County Builders Association (MCBA) and help fund future BYF Trades Day events, giving more students opportunities to explore careers in the skilled trades.

View the tables and place your bid:

Thank you for supporting our students and local building industry!
